A military expedition takes you on an adventures training experience to learn new skills and face new challenges. Choose scuba diving for your exped and create a plan that you can build upon.

“Sub-Aqua diving is an adventurous activity, which fosters self-reliance, leadership, initiative and courage; it also develops self-confidence and self-discipline as well as physical strength and powers of endurance.”
- Joint Service Sub-Aqua Diving Regulations (JSSADR’s) 01 Apr 08.

What makes a military scuba diving expedition go well?

Well, in addition to adventurous diving in exotic locations, with varied experiences and facing new challenges... the simple answer is lots of paperwork and prior preparation! This is completed by the expedition leader, SADS and Instructors months before the actual date so that the expedition goes without a hitch.

This daunting fact is one that often befalls the young Officer, tasked with organising a scuba diving expedition for the first time. Fear not! Contact Violet Ultra Travel and with our wealth of expertise and personal experience organising and supervising expedition SADS on over 35 scuba diving expeditions in the last 9 years, we can point Officers in the right direction to reach their goals and ensure the expedition is a success.

Our service includes:
  • Provide contacts to the Service diving associations - ASADA; RAFSAA & RNRMSAA;
  • Links to the relevant expedition documentation & regulations -  JSATFA; AGAI’s; DIN's; JSP's & JSSADR's (and where to find them?)
  • Assistance in finding additional SADS or BSAC Advanced Divers;
  • Assistance in finding Instructors from the different training agencies;
  • A sample PXR Library for Post Exercise Reports (containing 'UNRESTRICTED' information) as a guide to your adventure and further links to the official websites with full additional information.

We are also able to provide you with the following assistance in organising your expedition:
  • An experienced Violet Ultra Travel representative, to act as your Dive Guide (with Red Sea accreditation);
  • Return flights to/from your chosen destination;
  • Accommodation onboard your chartered boat or in a hotel;
